Gyor:
Gyor is the most important city of northwest Hungary and lies on one of the important roads of Central Europe, halfway between Budapest and Vienna. The city is the sixth largest in Hungary, and one of the seven main regional centers of the country. It is one of the richest towns in Hungary concerning listed monuments. As an acknowledgement of the reconstruction of the baroque town center it received the Europe award for the protection of listed monuments.
The old historic churches, palaces, museums, typical balconies, narrow streets invite the visitors for a walk in the town center. Gyor is a town of festivals, there are festival events from spring to autumn.
